Dr. Hyvarinen, It was such a thrill to hear you speak tonight. You even make the hard stuff sound easy to understand. Thank you so much for sharing with the world, your vast knowledge of children with multiple disabilities and how to help them learn how to see.

Thank you so much again for your ideas and suggestions for working with my daughter, Brianna. As much as I want to hear all of the answers to my questions, it’s nice to hear you simply say, “I don’t know.” It helped me to realize that I’m not crazy after 15 years of trying to figure her out, and feeling like sometimes what she does just doesn’t make any sense to me. But then to hear you and Dr. Linda Lawrence both agree that she is quite a puzzle and sometimes what she does, just doesn’t make any sense, just confirmed that I’m not crazy after all:) Thank you!
I also very much appreciate the time you took to not only work with her, but also with her school team, and helping them make some sense out of what we need to be focusing on to help Brianna continue to improve her vision. It was an absolute thrill to meet you and work with you!!! I hope our paths meet again in the future.
    Sincerely, Dinell Stuckey
